“There are some teams which are able to stop us” German star warns Man City against complacency
Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has urged his teammates not to get complacent following their flawless start to the 2017-18 Premier League season.
City are unbeaten this season and have racked up a 14 game winning run. Pep Guardiola’s side sit at the top of their UEFA Champions League group and are 8 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The Citizens registered a 3-1 win over title rivals Arsenal last weekend at the Etihad stadium.
However, Gundogan has stated that November, December and January is when the season really starts.

“The way we play stands out on its own: very attractive, very quick, many opportunities, many goals. Right now, it’s great fun to watch us play,” Gundogan told SPOX.com.
“Now we must hope that all the players keep fit while playing for their countries and then everything starts from the beginning.
“In November, December and January the season finally really starts, there are lots of games in this time. Then we must prove that we don’t rest on our good start, that we have an extremely good squad and play in an unequalled way. This is our aim and should also be our demand.
“There are some teams which are able to stop us – but first of all ourselves. It is maybe going too good for us at the moment.”
Gundogan featured during last weekend’s clash and started for City against Napoli in the Champions League. The 27-year-old recently recovered from a serious knee injury which kept him sidelined for close to 12 moths.
