“These player think fans are idiots” – Liverpool fans react to Emre Can’s latest statement on social media
Emre Can’s response to the Liverpool Echo when asked about his Liverpool future has irked Reds supporters.
The Germany international was asked whether he would still be a Liverpool player next season. Can responded by stating, “Why do you ask me this? Really, I concentrate on this season and let my agent handle all the rest.”
Can has entered the final six months of his Liverpool contract and will be able to discuss terms with clubs outside of the Premier League from January 1 onwards.
The 23-year-old could end up leaving Liverpool for free next summer unless the club sell him in January or if they manage to strike a new deal.
Can’s comments got Liverpool fans talking on social media and here is a selection of the best responses.

He's obviously off in the summer. These player think fans are idiots, 'I concentrate on football, my agent does the rest' if you wanted to play for us you'd sign the contract to stay. If not you don't.. your the player, it's your career, you decide.

If he's going and it seems like he is, drop him and give Grujic more experience. He's not going to progress if he doesn't start playing regularly

Let him go, slows down our play too much , losses the ball and gives away needless freekicks, goodluck in Italy ?

If Emre likes Mo that much @JamesPearceEcho he can extend his time with him and sign a contract at @LFC and stop mucking around #YMWA #JustSayin ?

Can is a far better player when he’s not shackled to Henderson. If he agrees a deal with Juve he should be left out of the squad and made to train with the kids.

I hope he signs I think he offers a lot to the Liverpool midfield, think it would be a great midfield with him and Keita and a partnership that could dominate games

He CAN't exactly turn around and say "I'm definitely leaving", it's a world cup year, he'll want to play. That said, hope he stays!
