Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw against second placed Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.
Emre Can returned to central midfield after being deployed as a full-back for Germany over the international break.
Here are three things we learned following his performance.
1. Disciplinary problem?
Emre Can picked up his 10th booking of the season and is now suspended for the next two games – against Stoke and Bournemouth. If a player receives 10 yellow cards between the first day of the season and the second Sunday in April they will be suspended for two games. Can has picked up an excessive number of bookings this season but it is worth noting he has not been sent off once and his role requires him to get stuck in.

2. Pass accuracy concerns
Can had a rather worrying 68 percent pass accuracy against Tottenham and completed just 35 passes. The 22-year-old is currently 112th in the Premier League when it comes to pass accuracy which is concerning considering he plays in a position that demands precise passing.
3. Is the Can-Henderson partnership worth keeping
There is talk of Jordan Henderson leaving over the summer but considering how well he has started to gel with Can in central midfield Jurgen Klopp may decide to give him another chance. Henderson and Can won the ball back 27 times against Spurs and worked hard in midfield both defensively and in the final third.
