Tottenham & Newcastle on red alert as Euro Giants president willing to sell in-demand €22m striker in January

Tottenham and Newcastle have been out on alert after Besiktas President Fikret Orman confirmed that he is willing to sell Cenk Tosun at the right price.

Tosun has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs following an impressive run of form for Besiktas in both the UEFA Champions League and the Turkish Super Lig.

Speaking to HaberTurk Orman stated, “If the proposals are very serious numbers and we need to sell to benefit the club, we will sell.

“But your opinion is also important. If the proposals arrive in January, we will sit back and talk.”

Besiktas are in a particularly strong negotiation position as they already have a ready-made replacement at the club in Alvaro Negredo. Orman recently set a €22 million valuation for the Turkey international striker.

Yesterday Turkish-Football revealed that Tottenham scouts were monitoring Cenk during Turkey’s Word Cup qualification clash with Iceland. Per the source, Newcastle United also scouts present at the game watching the Besiktas striker.

Tosun has been in impressive form for Besiktas this season with four goals in nine games.
