Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike has been linked with a Fenerbahçe exit following the incidents at the Istanbul derby against Beşiktaş on the weekend according to Africa Football.

The report claims to have spoke with a friend of Emenike who said: “Emenike is not happy with what he is going through with the Fenerbahce fans.

“He is preparing his mind to be fit for a possible summer move.

“He has lots of options which include teams from Italy, but England looks like his next destination.”

Emenike has been heavily criticised by Fenerbahçe fans due to only scoring four goals all season.

The Nigerian international was booed by his own fans in the derby against Beşiktaş on the weekend.

The 28-year-old took off his shirt and walked off the field in protest but later returned to the game.

Emenike was given permission to go on holiday after the incident but has since returned to Turkey.

Tottenham have been linked with Emenike recently and football agent Erdem Konyar confirmed that Spurs were interested in the summer.

“I personally have not entered talks with Tottenham yet,” Konyar told Radyospor.

“However, if Fenerbahçe give us permission we could enter negotiations.”
