Turkey League Wrap 26: Is the dream over for Basaksehir?

Akhisar had failed to score a single goal in their last three games against Basaksehir. That all changed on Saturday as they scored twice to beat the Istanbul title challengers 2-1 at home. Former West Ham forward Vaz Te opened the scoring for Akhisar before Yalcin Ayhan equalised. The Akigolar had the last laugh when Sokol Cikallesh scored a last gasp winner.
Basaksehir will be hoping Besiktas lose tomorrow. The league leaders are two points ahead of them and could extend their lead to five with a victory.
Istanbul giants Fenerbahce returned to winning ways but the fans were put through torture again. Robin van Persie scored on 84 minutes to win all three points and keep Antalyaspor and Trabzonspor who are breathing down their neck for the 4th place spot.
