‘Turkey has been my salvation’ – Tottenham star reveals Super Lig giants have rescued his career
Vincent Janssen did not exactly hit the ground running at Tottenham.
After joining Spurs amid high expectations Janssen scored just two goals in the Premier League last season.
Tottenham fans never really got to see why the club invested £27 million into signing him.
Janssen was loaned out to Fenerbahce after a disappointing season.
The Dutch striker has rediscovered his scoring boots at the Yellow Canaries.
Janssen has netted twice in his first two starts of the season with his first two shots on goal.
The 23-year-old put in an impressive display in the Istanbul derby last week winning the penalty for the opening goal and scoring the second from a spot kick.
Fenerbahce ended up winning the derby clash against Besiktas 2-1 at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.

Janssen achieved almost instant cult status among the Fenerbahce faithful and his statements since have made him even more popular.
“I do not want to speak about Tottenham right now, what I will say is that Fenerbahce has been my salvation,” he was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“I was given an opportunity here so I thank every who believed in me.
“The derby was amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic, it was an unforgettable experience.”
The Istanbul giants travel to Manisa next for their clash against Akhisar. Janssen is expected to start on Friday.
