Besiktas prepared to offer £26m Arsenal target Arda Turan £4.8m per-season to force Barcelona exit

Besiktas are prepared to offer Barcelona star Arda Turan £4.8 million [€5.5m] per-season according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish newspaper Milliyet claim that the Black Eagles have informed Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut the highest figure they are prepared to pay for his services.

Per the source, Besiktas requested that Barcelona lower their valuation if they want to sell the Turkish international.

The Black Eagles are keen on the transfer but it would push their budget to edge.

Fenerbahce and Turan’s former club Galatasaray are also reported to be plotting a move.

The article does claim that Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon are favourites to sign the experienced attacking midfielder.

The Gunners are reportedly prepared to offer £26 million [€30m] for the 30-year-old.

The Turkish giants mentioned above would not be able to match that offer.

Additionally Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has informed Turkish-Football that his client is not keen on a return to Turkey.

Turan did recently retire from international football and would therefore be able to dedicate 100 percent of his efforts to whichever club he joins over the window.
