Turkish Giants Step Up Efforts To Sign Leicester City Striker Following Cenk Tosun Transfer To Everton
Besiktas have stepped up efforts to sign Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho following the transfer of Cenk Tosun to Everton last week.
The Black Eagles have made signing a replacement striker a priority with a Champions League Last 16 clash against Bayern Munich just over a month away.
The reigning Super Lig champions became the first Turkish side to qualify for the Last 16 as group leaders.
Tosun was however, directly involved in six of the the Eagles 11 goals in the competition.

A source close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that Iheanacho is on the shortlist and that initial talks were held with his representatives last week in England.
The Eagles are keen on a loan move until the end of the season with a buyout option.
Besiktas sold Tosun to Everton for £27 million but are still under the watch of Financial Fair Play (FFP) until the end of the season.
Iheanacho has struggled to live up to his £25 million price tag, scoring just once since arriving from Manchester City over the summer.
The Nigeria international has fallen down the pecking order and is currently third-choice striker under the management of Claude Puel.
The 23-year-old has just one goal in all competitions for the Foxes this season but does have another four-years remaining on his contract.
