Per the source, Trabzonspor have given Arda Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut a mandate to operate on their behalf.

It is common for major Turkish clubs to enlist help from super-agents to negotiate deals for them.

The agents often have a wider network, speak multiple languages and understand the market better than local club officials.

Talks are reported to have developed and Trabzonspor are now trying to reach an agreement with Liverpool.

Trabzonspor are also attempting to get Lucas to lower his wage demands.

The Reds are reported to be open to Lucas leaving.

Reports in Brazil meanwhile suggest that Lucas could be available for free. The Liverpool Echo however, claim that he will cost up to £5 million.

Lucas has 12 months remaining on his contract and is the oldest serving member of the current squad.

The Brazilian joined the Reds 10 years ago from Brazilian outfit Gremio.
