Vincent Aboubakar took a while to get going at Besiktas. The Cameroon international had not scored or provided an assist for the Black Eagles since joining from Porto over the summer.
The powerful striker found his goal scoring boots against Napoli mid-week scoring not once but twice in the Istanbul giants first ever win against Italian opposition in European competition. The 3-2 defeat was Napoli’s first home loss in the Champions League.
The 24-year-old striker then went onto provide an assist and score a sensational goal in the Eagles 3-0 win against Antalyaspor to take his side joint top of the table alongside Basaksehir who lead on goal difference.
