Besiktas beat Trabzonspor 2-0 at the Senol Gunes Stadium on Monday in the Super Lig to close the gap with league leaders Galatasaray to just three points.
The Black Eagles have played three derby games in a week, beating Fenerbahce 3-1 in the league last Sunday, followed by a 2-2 draw to the Yellow Canaries in the Turkish Cup and finally the Trabzonspor victory.
Ryan Babel was the star of the show scoring a brace inside seven minutes in the second-half.
The Dutch winger took his season tally to 11 points, a new scoring record.
The 30-year-old’s previous highest scoring season was in 2007-08 for Liverpool when he netted 10 times in all competitions.
