Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Yusuf Yazici has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past two seasons.

Yazici has gone from an academy player to one of the most highly rated youngsters in the Super Lig.

The 21-year-old already has seven goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Black Sea Storm this season.

Turkish-Football have reported Arsenal scouting the Turkey international throughout the season.

Well now Aksam are also claiming Arsenal have stepped up efforts to sign the rising star.

Per the source, Trabzonspor want £17.5 million for Yazici.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has personally watched the wonderkid according to Yazici’s agent Erkut Sogut’s assistant Adem Cebeci.

This follows a similar report we had with Cebeci regarding the Gunners interest in the rising star.

Mesut Ozil – who is represented by the same agent – recently waxed lyrical about Yazici saying: “I really like Trabzonspor duo Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur, they are incredible talents. 

“Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10. 

“We have a lot of similarities and I myself in him. 

“His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball. 

“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”
