West Brom transfer news: Brazil international cries in front of president to secure transfer to Baggies
Brazil international midfielder Josef de Souza is nearing on a move to the Premier League’s West Bromwich Albion.
Earlier today Turkish-Football revealed that Fenerbahce accepted a £10.6 million offer for De Souza from the Baggies.
However, an initial bed from West Brom was rejected by the Istanbul based club. According to the Turkish outlet Hurriyet, De Souza cried in front of Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim while pleading for a move to West Brom.
The midfielder also held talks with manager Aykut Kocaman to outline his desire to leave the club.
The 28-year-old midfielder’s move to West Brom could be delayed as he does not hold an EU passport. De Souza will need to secure a work permit before playing in the Premier League.
