West Ham 1 – 2 Chelsea – Blues restore ten point lead

Chelsea recorded a victory over West Ham United in the Premier League tonight.

The Blues restored their ten point lead over their London based rivals Chelsea following a 2-1 win over the Hammers.

Eden Hazard – who was named man of the match – scored Chelsea’s opener via a well worked counter attack. The Blues doubled their lead shortly after the break when Diego Costa found the back of the net.

Former Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic’s side found a consolation goal late on but were unable to score an equaliser.

Turkey international Gokhan Tore sat out of tonights clash due to an injury. The 25-year-old injured his knee early in the season and us unlikely to feature for West Ham again this season.

Tore is currently on loan at West Ham and is expected to return to his parent club in July.

West Ham take on Bournemouth in the league this weekend. Chelsea meanwhile face Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
