“Worst thing we could have done” – Arsenal fans slam clubs decision to hand playmaker £300,000 per week wages

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil put an end to months of speculation linking him with an Emirates exit when he signed a bumper new deal with the Gunners.

The 29-year-old put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract making him the highest paid player in Arsenal’s history.

However, things have not gone to plan since signing a new deal. Arsenal have suffered four defeats in a row, lost the Carabao Cup final to Man City and find themselves 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham.

Gunners fans are not best pleased by the turn of events following Ozil’s mega-money contract and took to social media following the disappointing defeat to Brighton.

Some fans believe Arsenal made a major error by handing the former Real Madrid man a new deal.
