“Would be fantastic bargain” Everton fans react on social media to transfer rumours regarding Barcelona star playmaker
Out-of-favour Barcelona playmaker Arda Turan was linked with a move to Everton last week.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reported that Turan’s agent – Ahmet Bulut – is trying to persuade Everton into making a bid for the 29-year-old.
The report goes onto state that Arsenal have now dropped out the race to sign Turan. Meanwhile, Turkish giants, Besiktas are also in the running but are not prepared to match his wage demands.
Everton are currently in the market for new attackers and the majority of the fans think that the Turkey international would be a fantastic signing for the club.
What a player! Everton needs a good creative player like turan!!!
He can take Everton to the next level. It will be hard to prize him away from Barcelona.
But 40+M offer can force barca to sell him.
Would be fantastic bargain in this market.— Maher (@Maher10khan) January 2, 2018
I believe he would add skill and power to Everton’s seemingly weak midfield and could also provide goals in support of a new striker. I truly believe that the lack of creativity and power in midfield has greatly affected our overall defensive and offensive capabilities.

There shouldn’t be any doubt in this! Yes all the way!

Ha!! Of course we would but @EFC and Walsh couldn’t organise a picnic for a donkey in a carrot field. So let’s be realistic and stick to mediocrity until we get a grown-up board with a bit of ambition

Everton have been offered Barcelona outcast Arda Turan. The Turk is on $7 million a year in wages which would be a risk for Everton. [Mundo Deportivo] #EFC pic.twitter.com/WvyhaIkNeH

Turan is expected to leave Barcelona after falling out of favour with manager Ernesto Valverde. The flamboyant midfielder hasn’t featured in the La Liga for Barca this season.

Turan could end up becoming the second Turkish international to make the move to Everton in January should the deal go through.
Turan has another two-and-a-half year remaining on his contract with Barcelona.
