Three reasons West Ham should target Demba Ba

Demba Ba hit the ground running in Turkey scoring a career high 27 goals for Beşiktaş in all competitions over the course of the season.

Slaven Bilic fled the Black Eagles nest for East London at the end of the league campaign and it seems Demba Ba could be next if recent reports turn out to be true.

The Times has linked Ba with West Ham which was followed by Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman confirming that they have received offers for the prolific striker.

1. Slaven Bilic Connection

The Ba and Bilic bromance continued to flourish even after the two parted with each other at the of the season. The former West Ham striker full of praise for his former boss and credited Bilic with giving him the confidence to keep on scoring in a recent interview with Claret and Hugh: “He gave me that confidence, always telling me I was the best and at the end of the day I scored a lot of goals for him and Besiktas so that’s something I will take away from working with him.” Ba was also quick to congratulate Bilic after he was appointed Hammers head coach via twitter. There is no doubt the pair got on Bilic would probably welcome Ba back with open arms given the choice but Beşiktaş are unlikely to let him leave on the cheap.
