Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal if Mesut Ozil stays, says Charlie Nicholas

Former Arsenal forward Charlie Nicholas has stated that Aaron Ramsey’s future at the Emirates depends on Mesut Ozil.

The SkySports pundit believes Ramsey will leave the the north London based club if Ozil signs a new deal.

According to Nicholas, Ramsey wants to play in the number 10 role which Ozil currently occupies. The 26-year-old plays in behind the striker for the Wales national team.

Ramsey was one of the stars of Euro 2016 last summer during Wales’ run to the semi-finals.

“If Ozil signs, he’ll [Ramsey] go,” Nicholas said live on Sky Sports News HQ.

“Because he plays that role, Cazorla is coming back next season [even though] he’s getting on in years. Where’s he going to fit in?”
