Beşiktaş board member Mete Vardar has confirmed interest in HSV Hamburg midfielder Tolgay Arslan.

“Tolgay is a very promising player, he is someone we are waiting to see here but it would be wrong to talk about the talks before he signs an official contract,” Vardar told NTV Spor.

Beşiktaş recently signed Sweden international defender Alexander Milosevic and Porto right-back Daniel Opare.

The Black Eagles and Arslan are reported to have agreed terms but talks are still ongoing with HSV over his transfer fee according to Goal Germany.

Trabzonspor and Galatasaray have also been closely linked with the hard working midfielder.

The 24-year-old can enter direct talks with other clubs as his contract is set to run out at the end of the season.

The Germany and Turkey U20 international moved to Hamburg from Dortmund in 2009 on a free transfer.

Arslan can represent either Turkey or Germany at international level but has vowed to play for the Crescent-Stars.

The 24-year-old would be able to play as a domestic player this season despite being born in Germany due to being of Turkish origin.
