Tottenham game is not life or death but we want to win says Bilic [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic underlined that the Tottenham game will not hold as much importance now that both sides have qualified but revealed that his side will be taking the game seriously.
“The Europa League is an important competition, especially for us considering we had been banned from European football for a while,” Bilic said.
“Obviously the Tottenham game is no longer life or death, both sides are through to the next round but it is still an important game.
“Any game against Tottenham is important and it would be great to win.
“We will have to see out game better if we are to get a result against Tottenham, we must deal better with set pieces and not give the ball away so easily.”
Beşiktaş are currently second in the Europa League Group C on nine points, Spurs are first on 11 points. The Black Eagles will overtake Tottenham and clinch first spot if they win on Thursday 11 December.
