Galatasaray’s striker Burak Yilmaz has stated that he wants to end his playing career at Galatasaray.
The Turkish international was the star of the show on Sunday as Galatasaray recorded a 2-0 victory over Akhisar Belediyespor. Yilmaz found the back of the net twice in the first half to put an end to a month long goal drought.
Speaking to LigTV after the game Yilmaz said, “God willing, I would like to finish my career here [at Galatasaray].”
Yilmaz recently signed a new contract which expires in July 2019. The Turkish international has five assists and 19 goals in 32 appearances for Galatasaray this season.
The 29-year-old has 16 goals in 24 Super Lig appearances so far this term. Only Demba Ba and Bursaspor’s Fernandao have scored more than Yilmaz this season.
