Crystal Palace transfer news: Eagles strike €3.5 deal for Galatasaray defender Lionel Carole
Crystal Palace have stuck a deal with Galatasaray over the transfer of Lionel Carole.
According to the Turkish outlet Aksam, Palace have agreed a €3.5 million fee for the French left-back. Per the source, the Eagles are also close to agreeing personal terms with Carole.
The report goes onto state that the transfer is close to completion and that an official statement could be released in the near future.
Carole joined Galatasaray for €1.4 million from Troyes back in July 2015. The France u21 international has established himself in the Lion’s squad and has made 27 appearances this season.
The transfer may come as a surprise to Galatasaray fans seeing that the 25-year-old is a first-team regular.
Crystal Palace find themselves in 17 place in the Premier league, just one point above the drop zone. The Eagles do however have a game in hand.
Sam Allardyce’s side take on Watford FC this weekend as they look to pull away from the bottom three.
