Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that his club would be willing to sell Ilkay Gündoğan to their Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
When asked by Sky whether Gündoğan could join Bayern, Zorc stated, “it would not decide the war.”
Zorc went onto say, “Of course, we would prefer it if he didn’t join a Bundesliga rival, although they are not so much rivals in a sporting sense this year.”
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have maintained an interest in Gündoğan over the past year while the Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are also understood to be weighing up a €30 million move for the 24-year-old.
Bayern have a habit of signing Dortmund’s best players in recent years and are now weighing up a €30 million bid for the Germany international.
The Bundesliga champions have signed Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski from Dortmund in recent years and could add Gündoğan to that list.
Gündoğan has four assists and three goals in 29 appearances for Dortmund this season.
