Emre Can has stated that he is looking for a home win when Liverpool host Borussia Dortmund at Anfield.
The Germany international is expected to start for the Red’s tomorrow evening after sitting out of Sunday’s 4-1 win over Stoke due to a suspension.
“1-1 is still a very good result against Dortmund because it is very difficult to play there, but on Thursday we play here at Anfield and the fans with the atmosphere,” Can told Liverpool’s official website.
“Hopefully we will win that game.”
Liverpool held Dortmund to a 1-1 draw in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie taking an away goal into the second-leg at Anfield.
Can is expected to start against Dortmund if he manages to remain injury free. In fact he should be in great condition going into the second game considering he will not be playing in the Premier League this weekend due to suspension.
The Red’s will qualify to the semi finals if they hold Dortmund to a 0-0 draw or if they record a win in front of their home fans.
