Galatasaray decided to sit out of the Winter transfer window in 2015 following the clubs change in management. The Lion’s fans have seen the arrivals of Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder in recent January but were unable to welcome a single name to their club this time around.

The recently appointed President Duygun Yarsuvat has put an emphasis on clearing the clubs debt and stabilising the financial situation.

Galatasaray parted company with Furkan Ozcal, Veysel Sari, Dani Nounkeu, Umut Gundogan and Lucas Ontivero in January however, were unable to offload their high earning foreign players.
