Ivory Coast beat Cameroon 1-0 to progress to the quarter-finals at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Cameroon were sent crashing out of the group stages following the defeat after finishing last in the group.

A long-range strike from Max Gradel gave Ivory Coast the lead in the first half. The goal ended up being the Elephants golden ticket into the next round.

Ivory Coast will go on to face Algeria in the last-eight.

Galatasaray defender Aurelian Chedjou started for Cameroon and while the 29-year-old defender will be disappointed with his sides performance the Lions will be glad to have him back.

The Istanbul giants have been facing an injury crisis and will be without centre-back Semih Kaya on Saturday against Bursaspor.
