Manchester United are keeping tabs on the Turkish international goalkeeper Mert Fehmi Gonuk, whose contract with Fenerbahce expires at the end of the season.

According to the newspaper Metro, the Red Devils are considering a move for Fenerbahce’s shot-stopper in the summer.

If De Gea leaves, Gunok would likely find himself behind Victor Valdes in the pecking order should he complete a switch to Manchester.

The Turkish international is currently second choice keeper at Fenerbahçe behind Turkish international Volkan Demirel.

West Ham United and Besiktas are also monitoring the situation of a player who is unlikely to be offered a new contract this summer.
