Mesut Ozil looking forwards to UEFA Champions League clash with Monaco
Mesut Özil has stated that he is looking forward to his sides clash against Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram to pose with the football which will be used in the knockout stages and posted the following caption, “The Champions League is back, looking forward to our match against Monaco in 9 days!”
The official match ball for the UEFA Champions League knockout stages and final has been unveiled in Berlin – and if the football is as colourful and vibrant then we are in for a treat.
The design has been inspired by the dynamic, young and hip scene of Berlin. The top star includes one of the most recognisable symbols of the city: the Brandenburg Gate set against the legendary Olympiastadion, setting for this year’s UEFA Champions League final on Saturday 6 June.
Özil has played five games since returning from a long spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury he sustained last October.
The Arsenal star has now scored three times and created two assists in his last four games in all competitions for Arsenal.
