Mesut Özil has played in just about every continent in the world but he had not actually visited London until joining Arsenal.
The World Cup winner told the official Arsenal website: “In the past I heard a lot about London and how interesting the city is. Before I joined Arsenal, I had never actually visited the city. Now I live here and am enjoying it.”
Özil also revealed that he likes the diversity of London, sightseeing, eating out and the Turkish food on offer.
The 26-year-old has settled in well to life in the capital and established himself as a key player in the current Arsenal team.
The Arsenal star has already won back-to-back FA Cup trophies as well as the Community Shield title.
Özil starred in the Gunners 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, providing five key passes, assisting Olivier Giroud’s goal and achieving a passing accuracy of 98 percent.
In the opening two Premier League games the 26-year-old has created nine chances, Manchester City’s David Silva seven and Fabregas created three.
