Arsenal moved into second place in the Premier League table following a convincing 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Mesut Özil was one of the stars of the show providing an assist and scoring a goal in arguably the Gunners most important game of the season so far.
The goal was Özil’s first this season but the assist takes his total tally up to four for the league campaign.
Theo Walcott provided the assist for Özil’s goal and the World Cup winner thanks his teammate by throwing up a picture on his Instagram of the both of them celebrating together.
Perhaps it is also a sign that Özil believes Walcott should start upfront. The England international has been full of praise for Özil going into the United game.
Walcott believes that he has what it takes to unlock Özil’s special talents and that he has been trying to develop the understanding they have.
“He can do it anywhere on the pitch, he’s a threat from anywhere and when you’ve got that in your dressing room you can build on it,” Walcott told the official Arsenal website.
