Manchester City were reported to have struck a £12 million deal with Villarreal over the transfer of Enes Unal according to Turkish-Football yesterday.

Per the source, the deal included a £17.5 million buyback clause in the deal.

Personal talks between Unal and Villarreal reached a successful conclusion and the 20-year-old was spotted wearing the La Liga club shirt after agreeing terms.

Unal enjoyed a successful stint on loan at FC Twente this season scoring 19 goals and providing four assists in all competitions.

The rising star is currently not eligible for a work permit in England under the Home Office regulations.

The transfer could be a win-win for both Villarreal and City.

The La Liga outfit have signed one of the most promising young strikers in Europe while City have the option to bring Unal back if he excels at Villarreal.
