Liverpool star Emre Can has urged his followers for donations to help the relief efforts following the Iran-Iraq earthquake.

Can shared an Instagram post making a plea to help the victims of the natural disaster.

A powerful earthquake struck Iran’s mountainous border with Iraq, killing more than 400 people and injuring more than 7,000 according to the BBC.

The earthquake was the deadliest in the world this year.

There is a huge rescue effort underway to help the victims of the disaster.

There was a major earthquake in the Iran-Iraq area which has claimed 430 lives with more than 6,000 people injured. According to Iranian aid agencies, as many as 70,000 people are now dependent on makeshift emergency shelters. Because of the cold weather, those survivors are dependent on urgent relief which can only be provided with the help of donations from the public.
