The Brazilian fullback was expected to miss the Bursaspor game after picking up an ankle injury.

“I had a slight injury in midweek, but the club doctors did a great job and put be back in the starting lineup. With this opportunity, I would like to thank them. I am delighted that we managed to win today and maintained our leading position on the table,” Motta was quoted as saying on the official Beşiktaş website.

Beşiktaş moved back into first place on 47 points after 20 games following the win.

The Black Eagles have now won nine out of their last 10 Süper Lig games this season.

Motta has one goal and one assist in 28 appearances for Beşiktaş in all competitions this season.

The 26-year-old is expected to start for the Black Eagles in the Europa League Round of 32 against Liverpool.
