Shola Ameobi has returned to the city of Newcastle after leaving Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor.
The Nigeria international mutually terminated his contract with the PTT 1.Lig club.
The 32-year-old player signed a one-year contract with team following his departure from Newcastle where he played for 14 years.
Gaziantep BB confirmed that Ameobi had asked to have his one-year contract dissolved so that he could return to the North East for family reasons.
Ameobi has now returned to the city for personal reasons, with the Nigerian international set to again look for a club.
The experienced striker scored four goals in 11 appearances for Gaziantep BB.
