“Spurs fans don’t deserve you” – Tottenham striker earns respect of Fenerbahce fans following ‘epic’ gesture
Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen earned his place in Fenerbahce fans hearts following his gesture in the Turkish Cup.
The star striker put an end to a two-month goal drought on Wednesday night during Fenerbahce’s win over Adana Demirspor.
However, it was Janssen’s decision to allow the young striker Ahmethan to take his penalty which earned him the respect of Fener supporters.
The Netherlands international is currently on a season-long loan with the Istanbul giants. Janssen failed to settle in at White Hart Lane following a £17 million move from AZ.
Fenerbahce recorded an impressive 6-0 victory over Adana Demirspor and Janssen scored his sides second goal in the 26th minute.
The powerful striker had gone seven games without a goal. Janssen’s only other goal this season came against Galatasaray in the intercontinental derby.
Following the game Fenerbahce fans took to social media to heap praise on their star striker and thank him for his gesture.

I looks like Tottenham could have done with Janssen’s goal’s this week following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester City.
The north London-based club take on Watford FC this weekend as they look to return to winning ways. Fenerbahce meanwhile face Istanbul rivals Kasimpasa.
