Sunderland transfer news: Euro giants travel to England for talks over £4.5m international star

Fenerbahce officials will travel to England to hold talks with Sunderland regarding the transfer of Jeremain Lens.

Turkish outlet Milliyet report that Sunderland are keen to offload the Netherlands international following their relegation from the Premier League.

Per the source, Fenerbahce’s Ali Yildirim will meet with Sunderland officials this weekend.

Milliyet go onto state that Sunderland have set a £4.5 million price tag on Lens.

Fenerbahce are however, hoping to strike a deal in the region of £3 million.

Lens has been a huge hit at Fenerbahce since joining on loan at the start of the season.

The 29-year-old has racked up five goals and 14 assists in all competitions this season for the Yellow Canaries.

The winger is currently the second highest rated player in the league based on his statistics according to Whoscored.
