Super-agent Jorge Mendes tasked with competing Chelsea star transfer to Turkish giants
Super-agent Jorge Mendes has been tasked with moving Diego Costa from Chelsea to Besiktas according to reports in Turkey.
The Black Eagles are keen on signing Costa on a loan move.
Fotomac claim that Mendes is keen for Costa to join Besiktas on a temporary move once he completes his move to Atletico Madrid.
Per the source, Atleti are favourites to sign Costa but he will not be able to play until January due to the transfer embargo.
Besiktas feel they can offer a win-win scenario for Costa and Atleti.
The Istanbul giants want Costa on a one-year loan after which he can return to the La Liga outfit.
The Turkish giants propose to offer the striker first-team football.
Besiktas would be able to keep Costa on his toes with Champions League football.
The Eagles have finished the last two seasons as the highest goal scoring side in the league – and have also won the league title for two-years running.
Besiktas fans have been flooding Costa’s social media channels to convince him into making the move.
The supporters actually broke the record for most Instagram comments on a single post for Costa’s latest photograph.
Costa received 3.5 million comments, most of which included a message along these lines: ‘Come to Besiktas’.
