Taffarel congratulates Hamzaoglu following Eskisehirspor win [divider]
Claudio Taffarel congratulated Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu following the 4-2 win against Eskişehirspor in the Turkish Cup.
Hamzaoğlu led Galatasaray to victory in his first game in charge.
“It was a very important win, the players performed much better than they have done recently,” Taffarel said.
“I want to congratulate our new manager as well, he restored confidence in the players and led them to an important three points.
“We will move forwards from here, there is still a lot of work to do and it is a little early to get carried away.
“It was very important for our morale to win the Gaziantepspor game and this match.
“These are the first steps of our recovery, we all want to keep improving and I am certain the future will be bright for us.”
The former World Cup winner has been goalkeeper coach at Galatasaray since 2011.
