TFF give Fenerbahce a stadium ban

The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) branch of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) have handed Fenerbahçe a stand ban.

Fenerbahçe will have one stand in the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium closed to fans because of supporters swearing during the game against Çaykur Rizespor.

The statement read: “Fenerbahçe A.Ş have been issued with a stand ban for ugly and bad chants during the game against Çaykur Rizespor, the ban has been issued because the fans have swore at four away games. Fenerbahçe have also been fined 30.000 TL.”

Fenerbahçe won the game 5-1 however, the victory was marred by an armed attack on the team bus.

The team bus was shot at with a rifle along the Sürmene-Araklı Highway by a vehicle travelling on the other side of the road heading in the opposite direction.

The TFF have suspended the Süper Lig for one week following the armed attack on the team bus.

The Yellow Canaries have vowed not to play until the assailants are found.
