Tolgay Arslan gave ‘healthy signs’ scoring on his debut says Bilic

Slaven Bilic demands his players work hard, especially in midfield. Arslan is capable of playing in a defensive, central and attacking midfield role.

The 24-year-old scored the winning goal against Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32 second-leg to take the game into extra time.

Arslan also converted his spot kick in the penalty shoot out. Beşiktaş eventually beat the Reds 5-4 on penalties to progress to the Last 16.

The German born midfielder is eligible to represent both his country of birth and Turkey at international level.

Arslan is of Turkish heritage and plays under a domestic status in Turkey.

The 24-year-old has yet to secure a regular first team place but has made four appearances for his new side since joining from HSV over the winter transfer window.
