Volkan Demirel suspended for 4 games [divider]

Fenerbahçe goalkeeper Volkan Demirel has been suspended for four games by the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK).

The Turkish international keeper was charged with unsportsmanlike conduct after the goalless draw against Trabzonspor.

Demirel will be suspended from the following games:

Spor Toto Süper Lig Round 20. Gaziantepspor-Fenerbahçe (14.02.2015)
Spor Toto Süper Lig Round 21. Fenerbahçe-Akhisar Belediyespor (23.02.2015)
Spor Toto Süper Lig Round 22. Torku Konyaspor-Fenerbahçe (28.02.2015)
Ziraat Turkish Cup Quarter-Final First Leg  (04.03.2015)

The experienced keeper has conceded 10 goals in 16 appearances for Fenerbahçe in all competitions this season.

The 33-year-old keeper has kept a total of eight clean sheets in all competitions.

Demirel will be replaced by Mert Günok. The 25-year-old keeper has conceded 11 goals in 11 games in all competitions this season and kept a total of three clean sheets.

Günok will be in goal for the Yellow Canaries weekend clash against Gaziantepspor in the Süper Lig.

Fenerbahçe are currently in 2nd place with 43 points from 19 games this season.
