Turkish clubs need to price young players more realistically according to football agent Batur Altıparmak.

“They say Turkey does not produce players, I disagree, there are good players but clubs just ignore them,” Altıparmak told Radyospor.

“A lot of clubs want Enes Ünal despite him being just 17 years old.

“Now nobody is going to put up €4-5 million for a player who has not even played yet.

“Right now he is still developing, why should clubs pay what Turkish clubs want when they can get the same from Netherlands for much cheaper.

“If we want our young players to start moving to Europe we have to start pricing them more realistically.

“Our current pricing strategy makes no sense, player we are asking €5 million for are moving from Netherlands to England for €1-2 million having been trained by better coaches.

“They usually put future sale clauses as part of the transfers to make something back in the future as well.”

Altıparmak represents Bursaspor’s 17-year-old striker Enes Ünal.
