Emre Can has stated that he is proud of his Liverpool teammates and of his club’s fans following the Red’s 3-0 victory over Villarreal in the Europa League.
The Germany international was one of the stars of the show during Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Villarreal in the Europa League yesterday evening.
Can uploaded a picture to his social media page of himself celebrating alongside his teammates with the following comment “Very proud to get to the final. What a performance from the TEAM and the FANS. Basel here we go .”
Can was a surprise inclusion in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up. The former Bayern Munich man was deployed in a defensive midfield role and played a major part in his sides first goal.
Liverpool have secured their place in the final where they will take on last season’s champions Sevilla. Can has three assists and two goals in 47 appearances for Liverpool this season.
