Juventus pull out of Sneijder talks
Juventus contemplate improved offer for Wesley Sneijder
“It would not surprise me if he were to join Juventus. He is a guy who needs to feel affection and there’s too much pressure on him at Dortmund. I think his cycle at Dortmund is over,” Lucescu told Tuttosport.
“Mkhitaryan is much quicker and runs more than Sneijder. He is a complete player. He creates chances, wins back balls and always keeps on going. It is important for him to find the right environment again.”
Mkhitaryan joined Dortmund from Shakhtar in July 2013 for £24 million to replace Mario Gotze, but has struggled to settle in.
The 25-year-old has two goals and one assist in 20 apperances for Dortmund in all competitions but still has two-years left on his contract.
Juventus have been closely linked with Galatasaray star Sneijder, however, the Lions have rejected all bids for the Netherlands international who is now almost certain to remain in Istanbul until the end of the season.
Sneijder helped Inter secure a historic treble winning season during his time in Italy – winning the Serie A, Copa Italia and Champions League titles.
The 30-year-old guided Galatasaray to Turkish Cup glory last season and played an important role in Galatasaray reaching the Champions League quarter-finals.
