Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to heap praise on Roger Federer.

The Swiss tennis player won the Wimbledon title today following a three-set win over Marin Cilic. Federer has now won a record eight Wimbledon titles.

The Arsenal playmaker has stated that Federer is the ‘king of tennis.’

Ozil shared a photo of himself posing alongside Federer on social media and included the following caption, “The king of tennis without a doubt @rogerfederer #Wimbledon title #8, Grand Slam title #19 … and still counting!”

Ozil has been included in Arsenal’s pre-season squad despite having under 12 months remaining on his contract.
