“I’ve opened the door” – Arsenal boss gives star in-demand Lucas Perez forward green light to leave
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given the green light for Lucas Perez to leave the club this summer.
The Spanish striker has found first-team opportunities hard to come by since his £17 million move (BBC) from Deportivo last summer.
Perez has fallen further down the pecking order at the north London-based club following the arrivals of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
Perez made just 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners last season and only scored one goal.

“It’s a possibility (he will leave). I’ve opened the door for him,” Wenger told reporters at a press conference ahead of Saturday’s away clash against Stoke
Turkish giants Fenerbahce have recently been linked with a move for the Spanish striker. Newly promoted Newcastle United are also in the race to sign Perez according to the Spanish outlet Television De Galicia.
Perez joined Arsenal for a hefty £17 million from Deportivo last summer according to BBC Sport.
