Benitez insists 4-0 win against Trabzonspor ‘wasn’t easy’ [divider]
Napoli crushed Trabzonspor 4-0 in the Europa League Round of 32 first-left at the Hüseyin Avni Aker stadium.
Despite the convincing win Napoli boss Rafael Benitez insisted that it was a hard won victory.
“It wasn’t easy. We decided to keep playing the same tempo even after going 3-0 up,” Benitez told Mediaset Premium.
“We also got a fourth goal and I am satisfied. We did well throughout the game and were in complete control.”

Napoli could have increased their scoreline further had Dries Mertens missed his penalty.
The win helped relieve pressure off Benitez following his sides 3-1 loss against Palermo on the weekend.
Benitez had been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the past few weeks.
The win against Trabzonspor’s was Napoli’s biggest away win in European competition and the Black Sea Storm’s biggest loss at home.
Trabzonspor are currently in 6th position in the league on 34 points after 21 games.
The Europa League return leg tie will be played on Thursday 26 February in Italy.
