The Black Eagles had been closely linked with a move for Casillas over the past few days.

Arsenal have also been closely linked with the Spanish international star keeper recently following speculation that he will leave Real Madrid according to the Metro.

Beşiktaş are expected to invest in a keeper in the summer after a series of goalkeeping errors cost the team in Europe and the league this season.

The Black Eagles are currently without a manager following the resignation of Slaven Bilic.

The Croatian national team manager parted ways with the club after an unsuccessful end to the season.

The Istanbul giants finished the season in third place despite being involved in the title race until the penultimate week. Beşiktaş will compete in the Europa League next season.
