Martin Skrtel has expressed his disappointment after rejecting an ‘unacceptable‘ offer from Liverpool according to the Express.
“It’s unacceptable for me. I think that such contracts are offered to players who are much older than me or players who have had some health problems,” Skrtel told the Slovakian outlet Aktualne.
Skrtel has just a year remaining on his current contract with the Red’s and has attracted the attention of both Inter Milan and Besiktas.
According to the Turkish Super Lig broadcaster LigTV, the Black Eagles are preparing an offer for the 30-year-old. The report goes onto state that Besiktas have held early talks Skrtel’s representatives.
